Relaxation and Recharging
Each meeting is a special time designed to spark creativity, build relations, and create not only beautiful objects but also lasting memories. Ceramics — often thought of as a mindfulness practice — is more than just working with clay; it’s a ritual and a genuine connection with the material that brings calm and joy in creating.
At Meditau, we combine ceramics with moments of mindfulness and brief meditation, allowing you to slow down, take a break from everyday life, and simply be with yourself. These voluntary, peaceful moments help you focus, relax, and get even more satisfaction from the creative process.
About Me
Paolo Spalutto – Founder of Meditau Studio
I am a ceramic artist and creative facilitator who passionately combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design. For many years, I have been engaged in ceramics, sculpture, and artistic creation. My specialty lies in intimate workshops focused on wheel throwing, hand-building, glazing techniques, and cultivating mindful creativity.
Over the years, I have explored a variety of techniques and materials, allowing my style to evolve at different stages—from watercolor painting to ceramics. My work sometimes leans towards simplicity of form, but always retains depth and meaning. Characteristic features of my art are strong lines, unusual textures, and harmonious combinations of earthy and vibrant tones—each piece tells a unique story of connection and transformation. Currently, I mainly work with high-quality European clays and experiment with techniques such as stoneware and raku firing. I create both abstract and functional forms—unique artworks and thoughtfully designed collections for galleries worldwide.
I was born in Italy and raised in a culture deeply immersed in art, design, and craftsmanship. Surrounded by the beauty and heritage of Italian creativity, I developed a profound need for artistic exploration—always seeking authenticity in form and technique. A turning point in my life was my journey to Kraków. The city, with its peaceful atmosphere and multicultural spirit, captivated me and became an extension of my artistic path. I still return to Italy regularly to draw inspiration and stay connected to its dynamic art and design scene.
I created Meditau Studio as an open and welcoming space—a place where people from diverse backgrounds can immerse themselves in the world of ceramics, express themselves through art, and discover their individual creative voice. I see the work in the Studio as more than just a creative process—it is a path to mindfulness and inner balance. For those interested, I begin workshops with short meditation sessions that help enter a flow of creative energy. I reat Meditau Studio not just as ceramics workshop—it’s a meeting place, a hub for exchange and community. Located in the heart of Kraków, near Wawel Castle, it serves as a sanctuary for those seeking creative space and connection with themselves and others.
My mission is to inspire the discovery of creativity as a universal language that bridges cultures and builds relationships. Through art, I strive to nurture a balance between heritage and modernity, intensity and calm, simplicity and depth—creating a space where life and creativity beautifully intertwine.
